Innovative Housing Project Updates and Letters

Dear Elisa,

We appreciate the City Council's responsiveness to the considerable neighborhood concerns about the rationale, notification, lack of sufficient public input and consequences of rezoning our neighborhood from single family to multi-family status without our consent.

Thank you for providing a forum to communicate with the Council, and for helping keep the character of our neighborhood intact.

Many thanks,

Dear Norkirk Neighbor,

As a result of citizen input the City Council has decided to take a
cautious approach on the Innovative Housing issue, and wait
until the two approved projects are completed before reopening
zoning for more projects. Please see letter below.

Because of  this the hearing on Feb 18th has been canceled.
Thank you for your interest and work on this important issue.

Sincerely,
 Elisa Bakker, Chair NNA

Dear Neighborhood Associations:

The City Council discussed innovative housing at their February
4th meeting and decided not to pursue additional demonstration
projects at this time.  The two projects demonstrating compact
single-family and cottage housing in North Rose Hill will
continue through the public review process over the next six
months (or so) and the Council will reevaluate the program after
they make their final decision on those projects.
